Vestalis apicalis - Black Tipped Forest Glory
Place: Shenduruny Wildlife Sanctuary, Kerala, India - Umayar region of the sanctuary.
Habitat: This damselfly was found resting on a reed leaf near a very small forest stream. The area was relatively dark with dense vegetation and the water flowing through a small rocky stream from the forest towards the reservoir. There were about 4 or five of these to be seen.
Habits: It was relatively easy to photograph this species and it stayed long enough for the three members of our team to photograph it in turns.
